An art-historical monograph by Luise Straus on drawing style in twelfth-century Cologne goldsmithing, issued by Heitz in Strasbourg in 1917 with ten collotype plates for medievalists and museum scholars. The plates are photographs of reliquary shrines and metal panels: roundels holding engraved figure scenes, rows of saints under arches, gem-studded frames and dense foliate and interlace borders, useful as sources for Romanesque ornament, medallion layouts and linear figure drawing.
