A practical manual on bleaching and calico-printing by George Duerr with William Turnbull, published 1896 in London and Philadelphia for dyers, printers and textile works chemists. Its plates are mounted cloth samples, many of them even vertical stripes on cream cotton in rust, magenta, indigo and brown, giving designers real dyed colour with visible weave texture.
