La revue des jeux, des arts et du sport : hebdomadaire illustrée
A French illustrated weekly on games, arts and sport, printed in Paris by Arnous de Rivière in 1878 for players and puzzle solvers. The plates are wood-engraved draughts diagrams: square boards with diagonally hatched dark squares, pieces drawn as little stacked discs in solid black or open outline, and the words NOIRS and BLANCS set above and below each frame; useful for grid patterns, hatching textures and small circular counter motifs.
