of tlie lo- calities described in this paper the majority of the carvings repre- sent persons, but along with them are found oth- er carvings which are not easily explainable. These carvings will, I believe, give more of a clue to the makers of carvings than the hu- man figures, when the expert… … one-half by eleven feet. Several figures may be of four-footed animals. Particularly interesting are two straight, parallel cutttings, each five inches long and nearly an inch wide and a couple of inches apart. I call attention to them as similar markings occur at Mom.omi on Molokai.
