A treatise on human nature and physiognomy (1882)

Willis, Alfred E. [from old catalog] · Chicago, Cameron, Amberg & co., printers · leaf 574

An illustration from A treatise on human nature and physiognomy, 1882, leaf 574
This face shows a good and pleasant ex-pression. The nose, which is considerablyon the Grecian order, shows an aestheticalnature. The eyes express large soul, largecapacity, and a frank, open, confiding na-ture. Note how well defined and clearlycut the eyelids are. ^ … This cut represents a mean and licen-tious-looking face. The expression is farfrom being pure, modest and innocent. Con-trast the expression of the eyes and mouthwith those of the other engraving on thispage.
