Treatise on natural philosophy
A university-press physics textbook by William Thomson (Lord Kelvin) and Peter Guthrie Tait, revised with George Darwin, issued at Cambridge in 1912 for students of analytic mechanics and tidal theory. Its figures are thin-line geometric diagrams: nested circles, epicycloid and cycloid traces, lettered radii and chords, and families of sine-like curves usable as spare linear ornament or pattern.
