A 1906 trade catalogue from the Aldine Grate & Mantel Company of manufactured wood mantels, cast-iron grates and tiled fireplace surrounds, issued to builders, dealers and homeowners. Halftone plates show each mantel head-on in even gray tones: turned and fluted columns, quartersawn oak grain, bevelled overmantel mirrors, brick-sized tilework, and cast swag, scroll and interlace ornament usable as pattern stock.
