A 1914 trade catalogue issued by the Foundation Company Limited to show engineers, railways and municipal clients the bridge piers, caissons and subaqueous foundations it had built. The halftone photographs show steel truss spans on masonry piers across wide rivers, half-finished concrete abutments with timber falsework and derricks, and cleared riverbank worksites, useful for flat river horizons, repeating pier silhouettes and construction scaffolding.
