Barclay, Alfred Ernest, 1876- · 1915 · New York : Macmillan Co. · 62 pictures

A. E. Barclay's 1915 radiographic atlas of the digestive organs, published in New York by Macmillan for physicians and radiologists learning to read early X-ray plates. The plates are grainy halftone radiographs in which barium-filled stomachs and bowel loops read as flat black or white shapes against grey fog, often marked with drawn white rules, arrows and crosses.
