American horological journal, devoted to practical horology
A monthly trade periodical on practical horology, edited and published by George B. Miller in New York in 1869 for working watchmakers, clockmakers and repairers. The plates are numbered figures printed as white outline on solid black grounds: watch movement plans, escapements, balance wheels, gear trains and lathe fittings, giving designers reversed-out technical line work and circular mechanical diagrams.
