Ancient castles and mansions of Stirling nobility / described and illustrated by J.S. Fleming
An antiquarian survey of castles, tower houses and town mansions belonging to the nobility of Stirlingshire, written and drawn by J.S. Fleming and published by Alexander Gardner in Paisley in 1902 for local historians and architectural readers. The pen drawings show crow-stepped gables, harled walls, turrets and gun loops in dense hatching, giving designers building silhouettes, masonry textures and stone doorway details.
