The book of sun-dials; originally compiled by the late Mrs. Alfred Gatty; now enl. and re-edited by H. K. F. Eden and Eleanor Lloyd
An antiquarian reference work on sundials, begun by Margaret Gatty and revised by Horatia Eden and Eleanor Lloyd for the 1900 George Bell edition in London, aimed at antiquaries, collectors and church historians. The plates are pen-and-ink sketches of dial faces on church walls, gables, pillars and garden pedestals, with hour lines, gnomon shadows, Roman numerals, mottoes and heraldic shields drawn in loose hatching against blank stone.
