A 1922 home-planning guide issued by the Boston Herald and Traveler's building department for prospective small-house owners, pairing architects' designs with advice on financing and construction. The plates are pen-and-ink: hatched black-wall floor plans labelled with room names and dimensions, plus loose line perspectives of shingled cottages set among trees, useful as diagram texture, hand lettering and architectural vignettes.
