The Morris Systems Checkerist (September/October, 1926)
A bi-monthly checkers magazine edited by champion player Newell Williams Banks and issued by Morris-Systems Publishing Company in Detroit in 1926 for competitive draughts players and puzzle solvers. The plates are printed board diagrams — hatched dark squares inside heavy ruled borders, with solid black and open white discs — usable as ready-made grid patterns, halftone texture, and abstract dot-on-checker motifs.
