Children's occupations
A 1920 kindergarten handbook by Maude Cushing Nash, published in Boston and New York by Houghton Mifflin for teachers and mothers directing young children's paper folding, cutting, and construction work. The halftone plates photograph finished paper pieces against flat grey grounds: folded squares, pinwheels, cut stars and rosettes, and checkerboard block arrangements, usable as geometric motifs, modular grid patterns, and cut-paper silhouettes.
