The complete works of Count Rumford
Collected scientific papers of Benjamin Thompson, Count Rumford, issued in Boston in 1870 by the American Academy of Arts and Sciences for readers of physics, gunnery, heating and cookery. The plates are spare outline engravings of apparatus in section and plan — fireplace throats, boring machines, stoves, lamps and photometers — keyed with italic letters and "Fig." labels, useful for thin-line technical diagrams and cutaway conventions on toned paper.
