A cotton fabrics glossary
A trade glossary of cotton cloths issued by Frank P. Bennett & Co. in Boston and New York in 1914, compiled for mill men, buyers and dry-goods merchants who needed to identify fabrics by name. The 130 halftones are close-up swatches photographed flat, showing corded stripes, basket and honeycomb weaves, ribbed pile and pebbled grounds as dense grey-black texture fields usable as tiling patterns, halftone grain and background fills.
