Collected papers on acoustics
Collected papers on architectural acoustics by Wallace Clement Sabine, published posthumously by Harvard University Press in 1922 for architects, engineers and physicists. Plates pair auditorium plans and reverberation charts with spark photographs of sound waves crossing sectioned hall models: pale grainy silhouettes on dense black, crossed by thin arcing wavefronts — usable as high-contrast abstract shapes, stepped profiles and radiating line patterns.
