Dalmatia, the Quarnero and Istria, with Cettigne in Montenegro and the island of Grado
Sir Thomas Graham Jackson, an English architect, surveyed the buildings of the Dalmatian coast, Istria, Montenegro and Grado in this three-volume study issued by the Clarendon Press at Oxford in 1887 for architects and antiquarian travellers. His own measured drawings mix tonal wash perspectives of Romanesque pulpits, cloister arcades and palace loggias with sheets of plans, elevations and carved capital details, giving designers both atmospheric interiors and clean line ornament.
