Die älteste Kunst, insbesondere di Baukunst, der Germanen
An architectural history of early Germanic building and ornament, written by the German architect and scholar Albrecht Haupt and published in Leipzig in 1909 for architects, archaeologists and students of medieval art. The 203 plates mix pen drawings of arcades, capitals and carved cornices with halftone photographs of stone fragments, giving designers interlace and vine-scroll borders, carved heads on cushion capitals, and measured elevations usable as line-art patterns.
