Einfuhrung in die moderne Kunst
A German survey of modern painting by art historian Fritz Burger, published in Berlin in 1917 for students and general readers of art history. Its 150 halftone plates reproduce French and German painting from Cézanne bathers and Böcklin-style cypress landscapes to Kandinsky abstractions and heavy-outlined Expressionist heads, all in coarse sepia screens that designers can crop for grainy texture, distorted portrait studies, or early abstract compositions.
