An English physics textbook by G. Carey Foster and Alfred W. Porter, adapted from Joubert's French elementary treatise and published by Longmans in London in 1909 for university students. The 184 line engravings show coils, horseshoe magnets, galvanometers and benchtop apparatus in hatched section and outline, with lettered parts and arrows marking current and rotation, useful as diagram vocabulary.
