French pictures and their painters
A survey of French painting by American art writer Lorinda Munson Bryant, published by Dodd, Mead in New York in 1922 for general readers and students. The 211 plates are coarse-screen halftones of paintings: dim interiors with figures at tables, mothers and children, and open landscapes with horses, useful for soft grey tonal texture and blurred figure groups.
