Function and use of transformers in electrical work
A 1909 University of Illinois engineering thesis by John Lee Buchanan on transformer theory and connections, written for instructors and students of electrical engineering. The plates are hand-inked wiring diagrams: zigzag coil windings, dashed-line cores, lettered terminals and arrowed phase lines, including three-phase to two-phase conversions, offering designers a stock of schematic marks and irregular hand-drawn line work.
