The gardener's magazine and register of rural & domestic improvement
A monthly horticultural periodical edited by John Claudius Loudon and printed in London from 1826 for gardeners, nurserymen and estate owners. Small numbered wood engravings show fern fronds and seed structures, pruned saplings and coppiced stumps, leafy shoots, and sectional diagrams of hotbeds and garden walls with hatched soil — usable as line botanical spots and technical cutaways.
