Geodaesia : or, The art of surveying and measuring land made easy
John Love's Geodaesia, first issued in 1688 and reprinted in London by J. Rivington in 1768, is a practical surveying manual for land measurers, plantation surveyors and students of the chain and theodolite. The plates are letterpress line diagrams: lettered survey plots, traverse polygons, crossing sight lines in solid and dotted rule, marked angles and baseline figures useful as geometric ornament or technical motifs.
