The geography of the heavens, and class-book of astronomy: accompanied by a celestial atlas
A school astronomy textbook by Elijah H. Burritt, revised by Hiram Mattison and issued by Sheldon & Company in New York in 1873 for American classroom use with a companion celestial atlas. The 82 wood-engraved figures are line diagrams of lenses, mirrors, ray bundles, orbital circles and eclipse geometry, lettered A through F, useful as ruled hatching, dotted arcs and optical schematics.
