Glass and glass manufacture
A technical handbook on glassmaking by Percival Marson, issued in London and New York by Sir Isaac Pitman & Sons in 1919 for trade students and works managers. The plates are line-engraved sectional elevations of furnaces, pots and flues, built from dense diagonal hatching, stippled ground layers and lettered reference keys, offering designers ready-made patterns of brickwork texture, arched voids and cutaway geometry.
