Handbook for architects and builders
A trade handbook issued by the Illinois Society of Architects in Chicago in 1898, compiling building data, materials and hardware information for working architects, contractors and builders. The plates mix catalogue-style engravings of fittings such as sash pulleys, thermostats and turned stair balusters with sectional diagrams of domes and vaults, plus small ornamental rule borders useful as spot illustrations, technical cutaways or period hardware references.
