A trade reference issued by the Illinois Society of Architects in Chicago in 1898 for practicing architects, builders and draughtsmen. Plates give measured elevations of the classical orders with labelled entablatures, shafts and pedestals in fine ruled line, alongside halftones of hoisting gear and mill machinery — useful for dimension lines, annotated mouldings and gear-train diagrams.
