History and antiquities of the cathedral churches of Great Britain : illustrated with a series of highly-finished engravings, exhibiting general and particular views, ground plans, and all the architectural features and ornaments in the various styles of building used in our ecclesiastical edifices
A four-volume antiquarian survey of British cathedrals by the engravers James Storer and his son Henry Sargant Storer, issued in London in 1814 for antiquaries, clergy and architects. Line engravings give exterior views from oblique angles, nave and vault interiors receding into darkness, west fronts with tracery and pinnacles drawn window by window, plus ground plans; useful for Gothic architectural detail, engraved stonework texture, and small staffage figures giving scale.
