History of mediæval art
A survey of medieval architecture, sculpture and painting by Munich art historian Franz von Reber, translated by Joseph Thacher Clarke and published by Harper & Bros. in New York in 1893 for students and general readers. The plates are line engravings: church ground plans, bay sections and elevations with scale bars and small human figures, plus ornament and figure sculpture, useful for hatched masonry, arcade geometry and measured-drawing conventions.
