How to figure out and arrange pattern work for weaving colored fabrics, explained and illustrated, together with other simple rules and calculations pertaining to weaving departments
A technical weaving manual by John Groom King, published in Charlotte, North Carolina, by the Washburn Press in 1915 for mill hands and loom fixers laying out colored patterns. The plates reproduce woven cloth swatches in close-up, mostly vertical stripe repeats in blue, red, black and undyed cotton, annotated with selvage marks, arrows and "one complete pattern" captions that show the visible weave texture and repeat boundaries.
