International studio
An illustrated art periodical, the New York edition of The Studio, issued from 1897 for artists, collectors and decorators reporting on painting, craft and ornament. The plates are halftone reproductions of oil paintings, mostly figure groups set in wooded landscape, printed in soft grey washes with dark massed foliage, pale draped dresses and engraved caption lines under the image.
