International studio
International Studio was the New York edition of the London art monthly The Studio, begun in 1897 and read by artists, collectors and decorators. Its plates are halftone reproductions of contemporary paintings and drawings — figure groups in interiors, hazy harbour and hill views, garden scenes — often set in ruled or patterned borders useful as soft-grey tonal fields and frame devices.
