A survey of Irish farming, fisheries and manufactures compiled by the Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction under William P. Coyne and published in Dublin by Browne and Nolan in 1902, addressed to officials, investors and visitors at the Cork and Glasgow exhibitions. Halftone photographs record bogland and reclaimed pasture, sailing trawlers moored in harbour, prize livestock posed in profile, and Dublin public buildings, giving designers documentary grey-toned plates with wide horizons and clear silhouettes of rigging, animals and classical facades.
