A French-language handbook of conjuring and sleight-of-hand by F. Gallien, published in 1816 at Pest by C. A. Hartleben for amateur performers and showmen. The plates are small numbered woodcuts of cropped hands in ruffled cuffs gripping sticks, cards and coins, drawn in coarse outline with hatched shading, useful as pointing and demonstration devices, instructional diagrams, or isolated hand motifs.
