The plates are line-engraved machine diagrams — gas-singeing frames, revolving-roller singeing machines, padding and dye vats shown in plan and section with numbered parts and scale notes — offering hatched shading, pipework runs and gear-and-belt drives for technical-drawing collage or pattern work.
