Medical symbolism in connection with historical studies in the arts of healing and hygiene
A study of medical emblems and their history by Thomas S. Sozinskey, published in Philadelphia and London by F. A. Davis in 1891 for physicians and antiquarians. Small line-block cuts show serpents coiled on staffs and scrolls, winged caduceus rods, bowls and wands, drawn in plain outline with hatched shading, usable as spot marks, monograms, and pharmacy signage.
