Men's wear of Canada (January-December 1921)
A monthly menswear trade journal published in Toronto through 1921 for Canadian clothiers, haberdashers and retail buyers, mixing editorial on selling and stock with manufacturers' advertising. The illustrations are pen-and-ink fashion figures in heavy hatching and stark black-and-white contrast: men in sack suits, straw boaters and fedoras, coats over the arm, with garment diagrams, street-scene backgrounds and display-type advertising layouts a designer can lift for figure silhouettes, hatching texture and period lettering.
