Modelling; a guide for teachers and students
A practical sculpture manual by Edouard Lanteri, modelling instructor at South Kensington, issued in London by Chapman and Hall in 1902 for art teachers and students. Halftone plates photograph clay reliefs and studies in raking light: nude figures scored with construction lines, heavy drapery folds in arched panels, anatomical details and tool-marked backgrounds usable as figure references, texture fills, or grey-toned relief motifs.
