Modification of a commutator motor and its operation as a repulsion motor
A 1909 electrical engineering thesis by Donald Alison Henry and Charles Anson Nash at the University of Illinois, recording tests on a commutator motor rewired to run by repulsion, submitted for faculty examination. The plates are hand-plotted test curves inked on orange-ruled graph paper, with hand-lettered sideways captions and axis labels for torque, speed in revolutions per minute, and brush position in degrees.
