Moscou
Louis Léger's Moscou, published in Paris by H. Laurens in 1904 for the Villes d'art célèbres series, surveys the city's architecture and monuments for French readers and travellers. The plates are halftone photographs of the Kremlin, gate towers, and onion-domed churches seen across wide empty squares, with horse cabs, shop signs, and small figures for scale — useful for silhouettes of Russian domes, tented roofs, and arcaded facades in flat grey tones.
