Ohio archæological and historical quarterly
A scholarly journal of Ohio history and archaeology, issued from 1887 onward in Columbus by the Ohio State Archaeological and Historical Society for members and local historians. Its plates run to coarse halftone portraits of officers, pioneers and politicians in three-quarter view, plus engraved likenesses from older sources, giving designers heavy dot-screen texture, deep black grounds and small framed bust formats.
