Ohio archæological and historical quarterly
A scholarly journal issued by the Ohio State Archaeological and Historical Society from Columbus beginning in 1887, carrying field reports and local history for members and antiquarians. Halftone photographs show mound and earthwork sites across open farmland, excavation trenches with exposed stone and timber, rivers and flooded bottomland, and scattered trees on low ridges, with soft grey tonal ranges and coarse screen texture.
