The high school physics
A secondary-school physics textbook by Alfred P. Gage, adapted by C. Fessenden and published in Toronto by W.J. Gage in 1887 for Canadian high school classrooms. Its 207 wood-engraved figures show laboratory apparatus, magnetic and current diagrams with lettered keys, and optical ray charts, many reversed as white line on black, offering stark diagram motifs and instrument silhouettes.
