High school physical science
A secondary-school physics textbook by Francis Walter Merchant and Cortez Fessenden, published in Toronto by Copp, Clark in 1905 for Canadian high school classrooms. The 159 wood-engraved figures show bench apparatus—burners, retort stands and clamps, glass cylinders, pumps and coils—drawn in fine hatching with arrows, letter keys and occasional demonstrating hands, useful as line-art diagrams of laboratory equipment.
