The Photographic art-journal
The Photographic Art-Journal was a monthly trade periodical edited by Henry Hunt Snelling and issued in New York from 1851 for daguerreotypists, chemists, and studio operators. Its wood-engraved figures show galvanic batteries and cells, coating and plate boxes drawn in outline perspective, belt-driven wheel apparatus, and banded spectrum charts labelled ENERGIA and HEAT, offering clean line diagrams, dotted hidden edges, and italic letter keys.
