A twelve-volume American trade reference on carpentry, building and architecture, compiled by Alfred Sidney Johnson and William A. Radford for the Radford Architectural Co. in Chicago, 1909, aimed at working builders and contractors. Line engravings show wood-grain panels, moulding profiles in section, wallpaper and ceiling patterns, and solid black blocks used for contrast—useful as ready-made hatching, repeat patterns and border rules.
