The story of textiles

Newark Museum Association · 1916 · [Newark? · 45 pictures

An exhibition handbook on textile manufacture issued by the Newark Museum Association in 1916 for museum visitors and students learning how cloth is made. Line diagrams show warp threads on a loom, hands working a rigid heddle, a threading plan traced from spindle to bobbin, and microscope views comparing wool and cotton fibres, giving designers repeatable line patterns, thread-path schematics and instructional hand studies.
